From April 10 to 11, 2026, the WORLD EDU 2026 Spring Fair took place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. As the sole Chinese exhibitor, WIE International briefed local students on Chinese university majors, application processes, scholarships and academic certification to encourage them to study in China. We also established preliminary cooperative ties with numerous local educational institutions. This event is a vital step for WIE International to expand its presence in Central Asia. Moving forward, we will roll out one-stop study-in-China services and short-term study programs to deepen Sino-Uzbek educational cooperation and share premium Chinese educational resources throughout the region.
Samarkand embraced the vitality of spring. From April 10 to 11, 2026, the WORLD EDU 2026 Spring Fair grandly opened at the Samarkand Exhibition Complex of SOF Expo. The event gathered universities and educational institutions from Uzbekistan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Europe, Southeast Asia, Turkey and other regions. Attracting numerous students and parents, it has evolved into a vital local platform for accessing further education information and linking up with international educational resources.
As the only Chinese exhibitor on site, WIE International drew widespread attention right after its debut. While local students have well-established knowledge about studying in Europe, America and Russian-speaking countries, their understanding of pursuing education in China is still in the developmental stage.
In response to this situation, the team of WIE International delivered systematic and clear briefings covering core topics including advantageous majors of Chinese universities, application procedures, scholarship schemes, academic credential authentication and daily life in China. These sessions helped local students build a basic understanding of studying in China and greatly boosted their willingness to pursue higher education in the country.
Heartwarming Moment: A Memory of China, A Wish for Reunion
A touching personal story added warmth to Sino-Uzbek educational exchanges during the fair.
A young Uzbekistani man took the initiative to visit our booth for a conversation. When he was a child, he spent one year on a study tour in Zhuji, Zhejiang Province of China, an experience that left an everlasting impression on him. Speaking fluent Chinese, he shared his deep affection for Chinese culture and lifestyle, describing that period as "the most precious memory in my life".
He also expressed his strong aspiration to return to China someday and continue this cross-cultural bond. This unexpected encounter not only proves the unique charm of Chinese culture for international students, but also demonstrates that educational exchange is never one-way output, but genuine connections that transcend time. It is WIE International that keeps building such valuable links continuously.
Resource Linkage: Exploring Opportunities for Sino-Uzbek Educational Cooperation
Beyond student consultation, the fair provided a great opportunity to establish partnerships with local universities and educational organizations.
During the exhibition, WIE International held exchanges with Karakalpak State University, Q Study World, Student’s Life, Maneki Nekochan Language Center, Study in Korean and other local institutions. Both sides discussed detailed issues such as application channels for studying in China, enrollment cooperation models and student support services, and reached initial cooperation intentions.
Chinese universities’ strengths in engineering, computer science, artificial intelligence, traditional Chinese medicine and other disciplines gained wide attention, with several institutions showing interest in in-depth communication and future collaboration. These talks laid a solid foundation for follow-up specific cooperation and created clearer access for local students who intend to study in China.
Borderless Education: Cultivating the Central Asian Market and Connecting Premium Chinese Educational Resources
Participation in this exhibition marks a key strategic move for WIE International to further explore the Central Asian education market.
Through face-to-face communication with Uzbekistani students and local educational partners, our team gained deeper insights into local demands for international education and clarified directions to optimize our study-in-China services. We aim to adopt localized and refined service systems to make high-quality Chinese educational resources more accessible across Central Asia.
WIE International will focus on the following development priorities in the future:
- One-stop study-in-China services tailored for Uzbekistani students
- Development and design of summer study tours and short-term exchange programs including summer camps
Central Asia is emerging as a high-growth region in the global overseas education sector. As a key regional hub, Uzbekistan plays a pivotal role in regional educational exchanges and talent mobility with promising growth potential.
Taking this exhibition as a new starting point, WIE International will leverage its strengths in resource integration and professional services to advance Sino-Uzbek educational cooperation from basic information matching to systematic, in-depth collaboration.
Education serves to connect people with the broader world. Beyond offering further education pathways, WIE International builds a comprehensive cross-cultural communication network. With deepening bilateral cooperation, studying in China is gradually becoming a practical and popular choice among students across Central Asia.
The closing of WORLD EDU 2026 Spring Fair is not an ending, but a new starting point for continuously deepening educational exchanges between China and Uzbekistan.
